"Iyali" is the Hausa word for family. 

     What sets gen-iyali-G apart from other genealogy consultants? For starters, we use an informal, nonjudgmental, faith-based approach to genealogy. You'll have fun with a purpose! 

     Our founder, Gigi Nelson, is committed to the "intentional genealogy" framework she developed. This means helping people understand the potential they have to make an impact on the lives of others by making their own family history research available. 

     We create safe and informal spaces for people to get together and discuss family history--both the good and the bad--in a nonjudgmental setting.
